Incredible Investor quality - all original 1973 240Z with only 22,560 Miles

There will be very few cars left in the world of this quality, here we have an exceptionally original, A1 Collector’s quality, LHD matching numbers 240Z registered new in 1973 and having covered 22,560 miles only during its lifetime. There is absolutely no rust and the car is as it left the factory inside and out. It has never been restored in any way; its condition is 100% original.

A Ms. Walker from St Petersburg, Florida purchased the car from Gulf Coast Motors new in May of 1973. Accompanied by an extensive history file, including the original sales invoice, 2 keys and all documents preserved in the original wallet from the dealership in 1973. Including; purchase invoice, warranty card booklet, delivery mileage certificate, owner’s handbook, radio manual, delivery certificate and an extensive dossier of the car’s history and invoices for work carried out on the car during its lifetime.

As is expected, the originality is evident with the low mileage of the car and with all original OEM parts from the wheels to the smallest details, as the car left the factory, indicating signs of a well-cherished life. Inside the cockpit, you are presented with the rare and beautiful red interior, offered as an option on 240Z’s between 1972 and 1973. This trend continues from the original instrumentation and radio to the wonderfully preserved interior. With perfect seats and all original carpets perfectly fitted.

Ms. Walker owned the car for 20 years before it was sold to a Mr. Tobias of Hamburg, Western New York State in 1994. The car was listed in the local Rochester and Buffalo Autotrader magazine, claiming an original mileage of 17,000 miles at that time. The original advert and a bill of sale between Ms. Walker and Mr. Tobias and a later invoice from 2009 between Mr. Tobias and Mr. Bill Dovey of Toronto, Canada are included in the history file as well as the current owner’s purchase invoice.

In 2009, the car was listed for sale in Autotrader Classic magazine and described in showroom condition having covered only 20,000 miles when it was purchased by Mr. Bill Dovey, who had Toronto Z Services carry out a full service on the car.

In 2015 a collector in the UK purchased the car, before selling to the current owner in 2018 for his collection, where he maintains his cars to the highest standard, in dry, dehumidified storage. This 240Z is presented in excellent original condition and is a very rare opportunity to acquire an appreciating part of Datsun history on the 50th anniversary of this model in its purest form.
